Engraved title, XVI, 1016 pp. Black orig. leather on 4 ribs with richest ornamental back-stamping, partly repeated broad gold and blind stamped fillets on both covers and blue-green marbled fly leaves. Faded red punctate edges.

Not in Schwerdt. – Binding somewhat rubbed and timemarked, lower capital with a little leather defect on 1.5 cm length. – One quire (pp. 889-896) bound in twice. – Frontispiece and the engraved title quite slightly waterstained. Otherwise of fine freshness except for only very isolated smallest mould stains.

The plates mostly with pictorial sceneries – among them races and huntings – , but also with anatomical and technical details. – Concentrated on

horses  (364 pp.)  –  hunting  (121 pp.)  –  dogs  (125 pp.) .
