Blass, Rico (Breslau 1906 – Frankfort/Main before 1995). Nocturne. Color silkscreen. (1972.) Inscribed in pencil: 37/100 / Rico Blass. 38 x 49.5 cm. – On hammered thin cardboard. – Fine work. Painter + graphic artist. – After finishing an education as joiner since 1926 pupil of Prof. Kowalski + Otto Mueller in painting and printing. Up to 1928 draftsman with the “(Breslau News)”. Then 1928-31 architectural studies and, 1931/34, such of art history in Bern + Zurich, i. a. under Wölfflin. 1934 moved to Palestine. 1952 stay at André Lhote, Paris. Numerous international one-man (since 1936) + group shows (since 1937).
