Andermatt, Before the Post Office in. Richest crowd between postal car and postal horses for lone travelers à la uphill in the background with a porter going by their side. Wood engraving after Carl von Häberlin (Ober-Esslingen 1832 – Stuttgart 1911) at A. Closs, Stuttgart. (1876/77.) Inscribed: CVH, otherwise as before. 14.2-17.4 x 17.8 cm. – Very instructive . BACK: Fog clouds at the mountains. Wood engraving by Arthur Calame (1843 Geneva 1919) after Alexandre Calame (Vevey 1810 – Mentone 1864); "The proper home of his art but remained the Suisse high mountain region", Thieme-Becker). Inscribed: AR Calame d'ap(rès) Alex. Calame, otherwise as before. 9.7 x 12 cm. On both sides text to weather and wandering closed in itself: "... leaf through the Bern 'Bund', take the 'Journal de Genève' in hand, or seek to cheer up yourself in the depictions of sunny mountain wanderings of the amusing Zurich 'Alpenpost' ...".
