Johann Elias Ridinger (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767). In 1728 His Princely Highness Carl Alexander Duke of Wurttemberg shot this stag No. 1. in a hunt near Jagodin in the kingdom of Serbia. / In 1737 her Princely Highness Maria Augusta Duchess of Wurttemberg shot this stag No. 2. on the sheep pasture near Tübingen and in 1738 stag No. 3. in the Kirchheim forest of Tiefenbach Frickenhaußer Huth. Etching + engraving. (1738/40.) Inscribed: 7. / Joh. El. Riedinger (sic!) del. sculps. et excudit Aug. Vind., otherwise in German as above. 14¾ × 11⅝ in (37.3 × 29.5 cm).

Kielce, 1997, 97 with ills. – Sheet 7 of the Wondrous Stags. – Almost in the white upper margin only slight case of foxing, additionally in the outermost right lower corner of the paper margin. This at top + bottom 4.5-7 cm + at the sides 2 cm wide. – Excellent impression.
