The Animals of the Past MasterEtchings by Johann Elias Ridinger (Ulm 1698 – Augsburg 1767) from his just as rich as beautiful suite “Design of Several Animals, As such after their differentiated Kinds, Actions and Passions, drawn from Life, along with included Annotations”. (1738-55, Thienemann wrongly -1753.) Varying inscriptions (J. E. R. fec. / J. E. Ridinger inv. (del.) fec. et exc. A(ug). V(ind).), titles as quoted in German.
